23rd Visit Follows Release of First Iowa Campaign Ad Focusing on Iraq
On Tuesday, May 15, 2007, Senator John Edwards will visit Des Moines for a town hall meeting.
The trip − Edwards’ 23rd to Iowa since 2005 − comes less than a week after the campaign released its first ad in the state. The ad features Iowans who call on Congress not to back down to President Bush’s veto of the Iraq war funding resolution. Edwards has been urging Congress to use its funding powers to end the war and bring our troops home.
